Our mission is to make it easy to get a driver’s license.
We’ve created an outstanding customer experience. Our engaging, empathetic, and friendly team work in partnership with our students to prepare them for a lifetime of safe driving, all while navigating the complexities of state regulations.
History
The Next Street was founded in 2009 with a commitment to education and a mission to make it easy to get a license. Today, we are the industry leader in driver training and license test services for new drivers. We provide high-quality driver education with a fanatic approach to each customer journey. Despite our size, we are not a franchise nor large corporation. We are family owned and family operated, and we take pride in supporting and being a part of the local communities where we work and live. We aspire to be a national provider of driver education and license testing services.
2009
All-Star Driver is founded by acquiring a struggling driving school with 8 locations and 20 employees.
2011
All-Star Driver acquires Top Driver’s CT Operations and doubles the size of the school.
2016
After being notified of trademark infringement, All-Star Driver rebrands to The Next Street and moves all focus to making it easy to get a license by providing outstanding customer service.
2020
March 15, 2020 – The Next Street corporate headquarters moved to a brand new facility that could comfortably house our high growth company and support the outstanding workplace culture.
March 16, 2020 – COVID-19 forced us to close the business operations, furlough all staff members and park all vehicles. At the time, we thought it would be for 2 weeks.
May 1, 2020 – We opened our first virtual classroom and re-opened our operations with masks and many 50 gallon drums of Purell.
2021
We opened our first location outside of Connecticut in West Springfield, MA
Today
We operate over 80 driving schools between Greenwich, CT and Boston, MA. We continue to open new locations and expand our service offerings, while never losing sight of what makes us great. We do right by our customers and do right by our staff and trust that everything else will get worked out.
