MA Driver's Education Course

In Massachusetts, you can start driver’s ed 3 months before your 16th birthday. All new  drivers under 18 must complete a 30-hour classroom program including the parent class, 12 hours of driving lessons plus 6 hours of observation lessons with a professional driving school and hold their permit for 180 days. Teen new drivers need 40 hours of supervised driving practice with a parent, qualified trainer, or professional driving instructor. After meeting these requirements, you can take the road test to obtain your driver’s license
